Welcome to Desi Hands by ClassiCove – A Legacy Born from Love

Hello, dear reader – or should I say, family member in the making?

This is our very first blog post, and I, the store owner, am writing it straight from the heart. Our store, Desi Hands by ClassiCove, has just opened its doors – but the story behind it goes way back, into the kitchens and courtyards of our childhood homes.

The idea of this store was born from a memory – a memory of watching my grandmother lovingly make soaps at home, using ingredients from her garden and kitchen. Her creations were magical. Whether it was acne, pigmentation, dark spots, or sun tan – there was a soap for every skin need. Not just for us, but for friends and neighbors too. In our home, skincare was not a trend – it was a tradition.

Years later, I still made soaps. Family and close friends would call up saying, “Bhai, please make one of Nani’s soaps, my skin needs healing.” And I always did, never thinking beyond the circle.

But then, one day, my cousin’s little daughter said something simple yet powerful:

“Uncle, you only make soap for your family. Will you treat your customers like family too?”

That was the moment everything changed.

We decided we won’t just sell soap – we’ll share love.

Every person who buys something from us becomes a part of the Desi Hands Family. Because that’s how my grandmother treated people – not like customers, but like children.

Our name comes from her very own words:

“Aaj kal factories mein banaye sabun mein woh baat nahi jo mere desi haathon se banaye pyaar bhare sabun mein hai.”

Translation: “Today’s factory-made soaps don’t have the same love and soul as the ones made with my desi hands.”

So here we are – proudly launching Desi Hands, where ‘Desi’ means traditional, and ‘Hands’ represent the care and energy that go into everything we create. From soaps to candles, incense to custom T-shirts slogans – everything is handmade, heartfelt, and rooted in real stories.

In the next blog, I’ll take you behind the scenes of our other creations. But for now, thank you for being here. You’re not just reading a post – you’re reading the beginning of a new family story.
